Chief Executive Officer: NMG Benefits
Jacky obtained his BA Law, LLB and LLM Tax from the University of the Witwatersrand and has extensive management experience in both the public and private sectors, as well as being appointed as a Commercial member of the Tax Court in December 2007.
Previous experience includes serving as the Executive Assistant to the CEO of Ernst & Young (EY), responsible for the Legal, Risk, Company Secretarial and Partner Affairs and an ex officio member of the Executive Committee and Board of EY.
As the Principal Officer of Discovery Health Medical Scheme for a period of six years, Jacky was involved in the development and implementation of the Scheme’s strategy and governance and served as an ex officio member of the Board of Trustees and the Scheme’s various sub-committees. During this time, he also served as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Healthcare Funders Southern Africa (BHF) and as Deputy Chairperson of the Policy and Regulatory Sub-Committee of the Board of Healthcare Funders.
Jacky joined NMG Benefits as an Executive Director responsible for Business Development in September 2010. In this role, he was responsible for the development of new business opportunities and growth of the organisation. In June 2016, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of NMG Benefits and serves on the Board of Directors of NMG.
Executive Director: NMG Group
Geoff is one of the founders of NMG, and his current role is internally focused, dealing with NMG’s key executives and leaders in all the businesses of the Group, as well as with shareholders and directors. The “Group Support & Control” team, largely based in Singapore, works with Geoff in achieving Group goals. An actuary by profession, Geoff worked for 15 years as a consultant, leading M&A assignments and company appraisals. Before joining NMG in 1992, Geoff worked with Swiss Re, initially in Johannesburg and subsequently in Zurich.
Executive Head: Institutional
Craigh joined NMG in 2018. He is currently the Executive Head: Institutional Business and is responsible for the Retirement Funds Consulting and Actuarial businesses in South Africa and Namibia, as well as the Retirement Fund Administration business.
Craigh Chidrawi has almost three decades of experience in the employee benefits industry. He was previously the Head: Alexander Forbes Retirement Fund for close to 15 years and led the team that grew that umbrella fund from a few billion to approximately R70 billion in assets.
Craigh has a strong focus on people – both clients and their members and the team that he leads. He is passionate about providing excellent service and leads by example. Craigh enjoys being involved in setting strategy for the business.
Craigh has a B.Com in Industrial Psychology from Rhodes University.
Group Chief Financial Officer
Delphine is responsible for the Finance function across NMG Group. Delphine has an In-depth involvement in Business Planning & Analysis, Budgeting, Ad hoc Analysis, P&L Management, Merger & Acquisitions. Coordinate Finance function through perimeter changes and manage multi-cultural teams. Delphine brings 20+ years of international professional experience in finance.
Regional Director: Healthcare
Location: Western Cape
Gary obtained his BCom Honours degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 1988 and an Executive Marketing Diploma from the UCT Graduate School of Business in 1994. He is a member of the Institute of Marketing Managers and the Financial Planning Institute (FIA), where he serves as an Executive Committee member of the FIA Healthcare Chapter.
During his tenure at Old Mutual, he held various management positions in sales and marketing before joining Glenrand MIB as Regional Director: Benefit Services Cape Town and later as National Manager of the Healthcare Consultants. A position he retained after Glenrand was acquired by Absa Healthcare Consultants.
Gary joined NMG in August 2010 as Regional Director: Healthcare and serves as an Executive Committee member of NMG. Gary is not only responsible for the management of the Healthcare Consultants, but is also responsible for the roll-out of the national strategy in the Regional Office and for the formulation of various strategies and processes that are required to grow the business as well as the value proposition and service offering to corporate clients.
Head of Growth
Location: Cape Town
Scott has 23 years’ experience in retirement funds, insurance, financial planning and asset management. Before joining NMG Benefits, he worked for Alexander Forbes Consultants and Actuaries, STANLIB Asset Management and Just Retirement SA. Scott leads the Membership Team at NMG Benefits, which covers business development, key account management and retail services. He holds a post graduate diploma in Financial Planning and is a Certified Financial Planner®.
Head of Investments
Location: Cape Town
Raazia joined NMG on 1 February 2021 as the Head of Investments, following 10 years at Alexander Forbes as a Principal Consultant. Prior to this, she spent 8 years in the UK where she advised both complex and smaller clients on various strategy, manager selection and other investment issues. Raazia is focused on improving member outcomes by implementing global best practices and most economic cost, with specific focus on ESG factors. She holds a B Comm. from the University of Cape Town and is also a CFA Charterholder, who currently serves on the board of the CFA Society South Africa.
Head of Strategic Marketing
Kinola, a Senior Accomplished Management professional with over 15 years working experience across various sectors joined NMG Benefits in 2020. She holds a BCom(Hons) in Business Management and Marketing from the University of KwaZulu Natal, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, and an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business School. Her experience and skills are well-adjusted between brand management and strategic marketing to promote net sales and revenue growth targets across highly competitive markets. She is a transformational, steward leader who cultivates a high performance team culture, having the humility to learn from those around her.
