Principal Accountabilities

Technology support

  • In conjunction with the Office Managers, monitor and supervise external IT support and on-site visits and ensure their support is tracked appropriately.
  • Work with local service providers to configure hardware and operating system for new computers to NMG standards.
  • Oversee operating system management including routine updates and planning/management of longer-term infrastructure updates,
  • Software management (licencing, updates and configuration; scripting and automation), including ongoing liaison with Microsoft as required.
  • Support NMG Group application including updates, configurations, technical advice, troubleshooting and general user support and training.
  • Create and Delete users; Manage groups and group policy.
  • Managing office 365 licensing; configuration of accounts. Create and Delete users; shared mailboxes; rooms; public folders; add licensing; Managing office 365.
  • Monitor that all computers virus software are up to date and communicating to server the same with wsus.
  • Test inter branch connection (MPLS); VPN; Test Internet speeds; Test Internet speeds; Dimension Data communication, Telephone PABX.
  • Research and implementing of new technology and software.
  • Perform a research against the defined deadline, request assistance upon providing a detailed level understanding of research or solution to a given task.
  • Desktop calls and Support calls and project task.
  • Be able to diagnose hardware and software related issues relating to desktop and laptops.
  • Reports on weekly basis.
  • Report status of each IT risk as well as providing reporting s and bring them to the team’s attention with sufficient time to avert crises.
Competencies, Qualification and Experience:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365.
  • Good knowledge of best practices and IT operations.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage stakeholders.
  • Able to take on and deliver projects, multi-task and prioritize workload, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative, with little or no supervision, and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and interest in developing client relationships.
  • Experience in reviewing, implementing new procedures and systems to ensure the effectiveness of all IT systems.
  • Highly motivated to learn and build their career in a Consulting environment.
